The story is the result of a collaboration with the wonderful poet Christine Jänchen. We exchange poetry and artwork and create and interpret. Here Christine has created something wonderful and even opened my eyes:

Towards transience...
Flowers stretch upwards...
In fields and on roadsides...
Red stands out everywhere.

And the poppy reminds us...
Of many a past war...
In the future it may be possible...
That peace conquers hatred."

To be honest, I chose this motif intuitively without giving it much thought. It was Christine's poem that opened my eyes. The poppy stands for wars that have ended. And that is a mirror of my path, a small part of my life, my wish. The wish of so many.
